I’m a Japanese-to-English translator, with five years experience working on things like market research, promotional materials, educational materials, presentations, pamphlets, websites and newsletters. I started out in the aviation industry, and have since moved on to events, food and beverage, cosmetics and more.
I’m a writer with an interest in socio-cultural, business and lifestyle topics, though I’ve also tried my hand at travel, politics, music and reviews. I have written some mean advertorials on things like greenhouse technology and IT solutions, will gladly pen dining guides and have been known to write copy for a brochure or two.
I’m a photographer who mainly sticks to the basics: civil unrest, protests, events, restaurant and bar interiors, editorial and stock. No restaurant too big, no demonstration too small; I post a lot of my photos on Demotix and Flickr, please do take a look.
While those are my best tunes, I can play a few more:
I love getting soaked up to my eyeballs in social media, and can help you do the same.
I can code you a love letter with HTML and CSS, paint you a picture in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, and whip up a little something-something in InDesign. I’m learning to wrangle Final Cut Pro, too.
There’s more, including the research of sneaky things, location scouting for music videos, and organising tours and meetings for out-of-towners who want to get dug in fast. If you invite me for a coffee I can tell you all about it.
