Born and raised in the United States, I first found myself in Japan on a study abroad program in the middle of the Saitama countryside in 2003. Since then I have graduated to big city life, roaming the streets of Tokyo looking for action, adventure, and the perfect vegetarian curry. I do various types of work under the general umbrellas of writing, translating (Japanese-to-English), researching and photography. One of Tokyo’s biggest charms is the variety of stories that can be found lurking amongst it’s native and non-native population, and I am always interested in hearing, and writing about, a good tale.
